Early Years Practitioner / Level 2 or 3 Apprentice

Abington Preschool is seeking a passionate, caring and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly, supportive and dedicated team from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for either:

  • A qualified Early Years Practitioner holding a Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent), or
  • An individual looking to begin a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Apprenticeship and start a rewarding career in childcare.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a nurturing, child-centred approach to learning and care.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and has excellent communication skills.
  • Has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, or is willing to learn through training and apprenticeship study.
  • Is committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

Working Hours (term time only)

Monday and Wednesday: 8:35am – 1:20pm                  Tuesday and Thursday:8:35am – 3:10pm

The successful applicant must be willing to undertake mandatory training, including:

  • Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Food Hygiene
  • Other role-related training as required
